1. Data controller

LearnWithDevOpsEngineer is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to hello@learnwithdevopsengineer.com.

2. Information you provide

When you contact us by email, you may provide your name, email address, company information, job title, project requirements, technical documentation and any other information you choose to include.

We use this information to:

• respond to your inquiry;
• understand your technical requirements;
• evaluate or prepare a potential consulting engagement;
• deliver requested services and maintain relevant business correspondence.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries and, where applicable, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

3. DevOps readiness assessment

The DevOps readiness assessment is completed in your browser. Your answers are used to calculate an educational score, category-level strengths and areas to improve.

The assessment does not require an account or email address and the website does not send your assessment answers to Beehiiv or another newsletter provider as part of the assessment flow.

4. Website hosting and technical data

The website is hosted using Cloudflare services. When you visit the website, Cloudflare and related infrastructure providers may process limited technical data required to deliver and protect the website, such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, access time and security or diagnostic data.

This processing supports website delivery, performance, abuse prevention and security.

5. Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the website only after you choose to allow analytics through the website consent banner.

If you reject analytics, those analytics scripts are not loaded by our consent component. Your preference is stored locally in your browser so the website can remember your choice.

6. YouTube and external websites

The website links to YouTube and may include YouTube content. If you visit or interact with YouTube, Google or YouTube may process information under their own privacy terms.

The website also links to or uses third-party services including Cloudflare, GitHub, YouTube, Beehiiv, Topmate and, where enabled, Buy Me a Coffee. When you follow an external link or use a third-party service, that provider may process information under its own privacy policy and terms.

Topmate is used for selected product, cohort or consultation checkout and booking flows. Beehiiv may be used for newsletter activity outside the assessment flow. Buy Me a Coffee may be used as an optional support link.

7. Cookies and local storage

We do not intentionally use personalised advertising on this website. Analytics is optional and is loaded only after consent through our website banner.

We use local browser storage to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics so we do not repeatedly ask for the same choice.

8. Sharing personal data

We do not sell or rent personal data.

Information may be shared only where reasonably necessary to:

• operate, secure and deliver the website;
• provide optional analytics after consent;
• deliver services you request through external providers such as Topmate;
• obtain legal, accounting or technical assistance;
• comply with applicable law or lawful requests;
• establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

9. International processing

Some service providers may process information outside Poland or the European Economic Area. Where required by applicable data-protection law, appropriate transfer mechanisms and safeguards should apply under the relevant provider arrangements.

10. Data retention

Email inquiries are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, assess or manage a potential engagement, maintain appropriate business records, meet legal or contractual obligations, or establish and defend legal claims.

Analytics retention is governed by the configured settings and provider terms for Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Your local analytics preference remains in your browser until you clear site storage or it is otherwise removed.

11. Your rights

Subject to applicable data-protection law, you may have the right to:

• request access to your personal data;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• request deletion or restriction of processing;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• receive certain information in a portable format;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

12. Automated decisions and children

The assessment calculates a learning score from the answers you select, but this score is provided for educational guidance only. We do not use it to make legal, employment, credit or similarly significant automated decisions about you.

The website, learning products and consulting services are intended for professionals and learners and are not specifically directed at children.

13. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. However, no website, third-party service or email transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

14. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the website, services or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
